Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Water Conservation Plan

The resort is now in Stage 2 water restrictions.  These will stay in place throughout the winter, if we have a good winter, water restrictions may be lifted in April.  If for some reason we are having another low snow winter, we may have to move into Stage 3 during the winter.

Our water source does not refill until snow melts in April, so what we have today is what we have until next spring.

What this means:

  • all irrigation has been shut down across the resort

  • pool hours have been reduced and waterslide at club solitude has been closed for the season

  • Employees and homeowners are being asked to reduce water use however they can

How you can help

  • Report any leaks, running toilets, etc in your area asap

  • Do not leave water taps running unless in active use

  • When cleaning sweep first, use scrub brushes to remove stuck debris, only use water to rinse not to do the heavy lifting

  • Run full loads in dish and laundry machines

  • Think about areas to conserve water within your daily operation and modify procedures where possible.

  • Share the attached flier with your teams and guests to help everyone have water conservation on their minds

Every little bit helps.  Thanks everyone for your cooperation and start your sacrifices to Ullr.  Snow is not only great for skiing, but also for drinking too.

Hot Tub Improvement Update & Curing Process

We’re excited to share that the hot tubs have recently been replastered as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving Owners Club amenities.

Why Are the Hot Tubs Temporarily Closed?

After replastering, hot tubs require a critical curing period of approximately 28 days. This process allows the new plaster surface to properly harden and bond, ensuring a smooth, durable, and long-lasting finish.

While the hot tubs may appear ready shortly after being filled, using them too soon can compromise the integrity of the plaster.

When Will the Hot Tubs Reopen?

The hot tubs are scheduled to reopen on July 1st, once the curing process is fully complete.

Why the Full 28 Days Matters

Allowing the full curing period is especially important due to:

  • High water temperatures in hot tubs, which can accelerate wear if the plaster has not fully set

  • Frequent and heavy use, which increases stress on the surface

  • Long-term performance, helping prevent issues such as staining, flaking, or premature deterioration

If the curing process is rushed, it could result in damage that would require costly repairs or even a full redo—something we want to avoid for both quality and financial reasons.

Our Commitment to Quality

We understand that this temporary closure may be inconvenient. However, taking the time to complete the curing process properly ensures that:

  • The work is done right the first time

  • The hot tubs remain in excellent condition for years to come

  • Homeowners avoid unnecessary future costs

Alternative Option During Closure

During this time, owners are welcome to use the Inn hot tub, which remains available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important improvement. Our goal is always to provide the highest quality amenities and the best possible long-term experience for our owners.

Upcoming Projects - May 2026

Dear Solitude Homeowners,

I would like to share details about upcoming construction projects planned for May. We appreciate your understanding as this work is completed.

Club Women’s Bathroom Remodel

Starting on May 5th, we will begin the remodel of the Club Women’s Bathroom. This renovation will mirror the recent Men’s Bathroom remodel and will include replacing all tile (except in the sauna), removing wallpaper, and painting the walls. The project is expected to be completed by June 11th.

The pool and hot tubs will remain open during the remodel with modified hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Weekends: Noon – 9:00 PM

Please note that these hours are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to maintain this schedule, but as you know, construction can be unpredictable.

Hot Tub Repairs

We anticipate addressing deterioration to the plaster and tile in both the East and West hot tubs. Over time, water chemistry has contributed to the degradation of these surfaces, presenting a potential safety concern. To fully resolve these issues, both hot tubs will require complete replastering.

Work is expected to begin on May 26 and is estimated to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Inn Entrance Patio Concrete Replacement

Beginning on May 1st, Solitude will start a project to replace the concrete entrance including stairs and ramp at the Inn. The new concrete will have a similar exposed aggregate finish, and all concrete surfaces will be heated.

This project is anticipated to run from May 1 through May 22.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these important upgrades and improvements.

Warmer Temps in the Club Solitude Pool this Winter

We are happy to report that two new heaters were purchased and installed in November that allow Club Solitude to now heat our pool to 96*F. This was an opportunity we had when replacing a failing pool heater which allows us to make the pool more enjoyable in winter. We believe this will reduce congestion in the hot tubs during peak times (4:00 to 7:00 p.m.). Try it out and let us know what you think!
