Bike Park Opening & Travel Alert
Dear Solitude Homeowners,
We are thrilled that the Solitude Bike Park is opening tomorrow (9/8)! As we gear up for the exciting opening weekend, we wanted to share some important information to help you prepare for an enjoyable experience.
Limited Bike Carriers on Moonbeam Express:
Please be aware that there will be limited bike carriers on the Moonbeam Express lift. Only every 6th chair will have a bike carrier. This will result in slower loading times and reduced carrier capacity compared to what we'll have next season. Our lift team is currently focused on upgrading the Eagle Express lift, which is why we have these limitations in place for now.
Temporary Connectors and Detours:
The technical trails Holy Schist (black) and Mine Shaft (blue) will start near the Roundhouse area and will be accessed from Moonbeam Express via temporary connector trails.
The lower section of Cobalt Cruise (blue freeride trail) will still be under construction. Riders will need to take a detour on Serenity to return to Moonbeam Express. The construction was delayed by a month due to record snowfall.
Please keep in mind that this is only Phase 1 of the new Gravity Logic trails. Our dedicated trail crew has made remarkable progress within a limited construction window, and we're excited to offer riders the opportunity to experience these new trails and get a preview of what to expect next summer.
Marathon in BCC on Saturday:
Please note that there will be a marathon event in Big Cottonwood Canyon (BCC) this Saturday. As a result, there will be partial closures of BCC from 6:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with police escorting vehicles up and down the canyon due to single-lane traffic. We anticipate traffic delays during this time, so we encourage everyone to plan their activities accordingly. For more detailed information about the closure, please refer to the attached document.

To ensure the safety and smooth running of the competition, it is necessary to temporarily suspend all other on mountain activities for the public. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the closure will allow us to guarantee the participants' safety, unhindered event preparations, and fair competition conditions.
While on mountain activities will be closed, other facilities such as our Adventure Park, Spa, and dining in the village will remain open for you to enjoy during this period.
